Let's discover together the nacho gems of Park City!
Welcome to Stop #2 on the Park City Nacho Tour
Welcome back to our Park City nacho tour! In this second installment, we find ourselves at Legend's, nestled at the base of PCMR in the Legacy building. Known for its convenient location and upscale ski bar ambiance, we were eager to see if their nachos would live up to our memory of them from 10 years ago and the usually solid batch of wings they serve.
Late December Turns at PCMR: Better Conditions than it Looks...Trying to be Positive.

On a high 30s, overcast day, we headed to PCMR, hoping for some early-season magic. Despite the mountain looking a bit bare, the warmer temps softened the snow, making bump skiing surprisingly fun. We enjoyed big, high-speed carving turns on the groomers, appreciating the uncrowded slopes. Our route took us from Payday to Bonanza, cruising down Claim Jumper for its wide-open spaces, then up Silverlode, ending with a long run down Home Run. It was the perfect setup for our nacho quest.
Choosing Legend's
With good memories of Legend's wings and its prime location, we decided to give their nachos a try. Our expectations were high, recalling past enjoyable visits. However, this time, our experience was a mix of highs and lows, but mainly lows, other than the company.
The Nacho Experience at Legend's
To cut to the chase, the nacho plate at Legend's left us with mixed feelings. The steak topping, while delicious in its own right, was just tossed on top without melting in like an integrated ingredient one would expect from a great mound of nachos. There was about a third of the cheese needed, leaving most chips bare. The toppings were strangely placed in separate lumps around the plate, almost like a "Cobb Salad," so it was hard to get each flavor in a single chip bite. To really bring it home, the chips were either stale or under-cooked, but regardless, didn't hit the spot....Hopefully it was just a bad day or bad batch. We know Legend's is run by good people, so we'll give them another shot later in the season.

Her Perspective: Tasted better than they looked.

The nachos were mediocre at best. They tasted okay but didn't look or feel appealing. Not terrible, but certainly not a repeat order.
His Thoughts: Really under-whelming. The steak was great, but all else missed the mark.

The lack of cheese and small portion of chips were disappointing. The saving grace was the tasty steak and good guacamole and salsa, but it wasn't enough to make up for the rest.
Detailed Ratings:
Layers (0/5): Lacked any semblance of layering.
Portion Size: Disappointingly small.
Temperature (3/5): Fine.
Cheese Amount (1/5): A severe lack of cheese. 50% of chips were naked.
Cheese Type: Melted – but scarcely present.
Meat: Steak.
Meat Quality (4/5): The steak was cooked well and flavorful.
Chip Sturdiness (4/5): The chips held up well, but there wasn't much to hold.
Crunch Factor (2/5): Either stale or under-cooked
Topping Spread (1/5): Toppings were in bunches. Some overloaded with a single topping and some with nothing.
Price: $25 - a bit steep, especially given the portion and quality.
Overall, Legend's didn't deliver a satisfying nacho plate.
Ambiance and Service Legend's ambiance remains a win – sitting by the fire, enjoying the well-spaced tables in an upscale setting. However, the service didn't match our excitement for après-ski. It took too long to place our order, and the server didn't seem to share our enthusiasm for the experience.
Reflecting and Looking Forward Our chairlift chats ranged from how to best have our son decide to stop watching crappy YouTube shorts to work challenges keeping people focused on the critical things at hand, giving us a chance to share and vent. It's these conversations that make our nacho tours more than just about food – they're a weekly ritual of connecting and unwinding, sharing whatever is on our mind without the interruption that inevitably occurs with 3 young kids at home.
Running Ranking:
Collie's on Main Street (12/1) – A strong and tasty start to our nacho journey!
Legend's at PCMR (12/22) – A disappointing second stop on the tour :(
Next Stop Despite the letdown at Legend's, our quest continues. We're already looking forward to discovering our next nacho spot. Will it rise above Collie's, or will another restaurant find itself trailing in the rankings? Join us next time to find out!
