Let's discover together the nacho gems of Park City!
Welcome to Stop #4 on the Park City Nacho Tour
Welcome back to our nacho tour, where this week's stop takes us slightly off the beaten path to The Notch Pub & Grill in Kamas. Just a short 20-minute drive from Park City, The Notch offered us the perfect ending to an exhilarating day with friends in the Uintas.
A Day of Touring in the Uintas
Replacing our usual ski slopes, today's adventure led us through the Uintas on snowmobiles, skins, and powder skis. Our friends at Inspired Summit expertly guided us through the high avalanche risk conditions. While our typical chairlift chats were missed, we made up for it by connecting amidst the howling wind during our 2,000 feet of climbing. Post-adventure, we unwound with a few cold ones in the parking lot before heading to The Notch.
Choosing The Notch
The Notch, known as one of the best bar/restaurants in the area, welcomed us with its wilderness charm. The place boasts pool tables, a large bar, a cozy fireplace, cool extreme sports decorations, and a local band on Saturday nights. We settled by the fire at an 8-person table, ready to dive into our nacho quest once again.
The Nacho Experience: The Notch Earned a Top-Rating
The Notch's nachos were a delight, loaded with rich and creamy cheese sauce, evenly covering several layers of chips. The pulled pork was excellence and like the cheese, was evenly distributed for full chip coverage, making each bite consistent and delicious. The non-melted shredded cheese on top was nothing more than a dusting. The chips was the real star as discussed below by both on this step in their nacho-touring, after ski touring.

Her Perspective: The chips were amazing and the cheese sauce was a delight.

The standout feature was the chips – crispy, warm, flavorful, and sturdy. The cheese sauce and pulled pork distribution were spot on, making each bite as enjoyable as the last. The chips held up nicely to the weight of all those toppings. A great execution overall.
His Thoughts: A huge fan already of The Notch, the nachos hit the spot!

I was impressed by the portion size, perfect for our group. The cheese sauce was creamy and rich, exactly what I needed after a day in the Uintas. While I still long for that traditional melted, slightly browned bubbling cheese, these nachos hit the spot, especially given our massive hunger from the day's activities.

Running Ranking:
The Notch in Kamas (1/12/24) – The chips and cheese sauce earned a top spot!
Collie's on Main Street (12/1/23) – A strong and tasty start to our nacho journey!
Lush's BBQ in Silver Creek (1/6/24) – Great vibe. Flour nachos just don't do it.
Legend's at PCMR (12/22/23) – A disappointing second stop on the tour :(
Next Stop With the Notch setting a high bar, we're already excited for the next stop on our tour. And who knows, maybe a wings tour is in our future! But for now, the quest for the best nachos continues.
